From That Boutique-y Rum Company, comes a pot still rum distilled at Black Gate Distillery, Australia. Made with molasses sourced from Queensland, the spirit is double distilled and matured for three years in 100 litre Tawny wine casks. The label depicts a sunny day at the distillery, with the owners’ Brian and Genise’s dog chasing away a group of kangaroos. Bottled at 57.2% abv.

Expect aromas of sticky ginger cake, dried fruit and molasses, undercut by tobacco, clove and tea. The palate is full of ripe plums and mango, blackberry jam, and a touch of black olive. A tannic and lasting close, with hints of roast parsnip and chilli.
