Chichibu 2013 Sakura Single Cask #2853

This Japanese single malt whisky was released as part of their Floral Label series. Distilled at Ichiro Akuto’s Chichibu distillery in 2013, this single cask expression matured until 2020 when it was bottled at 61.8%. A fabulous rare expression.

On the nose, there are aromas of Madagascan vanilla, menthol, dried fruit, and honey. The palate brings baking spices, more vanilla, and sandalwood before leading into a dry finish full of aniseed and aromatic oak.
