Inspired by a rock song, Compass box invite you to imagine this whisky as ‘Metallica with a backing orchestra.’ This is the seventh edition of the most metal whisky around – a blend of smoke-bomb malts from Laphroaig, Caol Ila and Talisker and a combination of Highland malts aged for five years in toasted French oak casks. The result is a balanced, yet bold blended whisky. Bottled at 48.9% abv and free from chill filtration – with natural colour.
Expect aromas of smouldering peat embers, cigar wrapper and candied ginger. The palate is oily, smoky, rich and savoury.
