Fully matured in a first fill bourbon cask for 13 years, this fabulous Craigellachie is a limited-edition Whisky Shop exclusive. Bottled as part of the distillery’s Exceptional Cask Series, only 204 bottles are in existence, presented at an impressive 57.9% abv.
The bourbon cask has bestowed wonderful tropical vanilla flavours on the expression. The nose opens up with coconut and pineapple, leading to fruitier flavours of cantaloupe melon, pineapple syrup, brown sugar and vanilla bean on the palate. The finish is delightfully sweet, satisfying and fresh.
