From their limited-edition intensely sherried collection, Darkness presents this rare Balmenach expression. Home to Caorunn Gin, it is a traditional Speyside distillery. The whisky has been matured for nine years, including a finish in hand-coopered Oloroso octave casks. Bottled at 56.6% abv.
Expect toasty notes of burnt sugar, almonds, coffee and creme brulee on the nose, with a mouth-coating palate of toffee and dark ale before a sweet-spicy finish.
