Fettercairn 16 Year Old 3rd Release 2022

This is the triumphant third annual 16-year-old release from Fettercairn. Matured in a combination of first fill and second fill Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, and ex-bourbon casks, this is an intensely flavoured single malt. Bottled at 46.4% abv, this expression is full of the distillery’s signature tropical character.

The nose has aged oak, golden syrup, tropical fruits, and figs. The palate brings dark chocolate, baking spices, all-butter pastry, and plenty of fresh vanilla before moving into the satisfying finish full of espresso, spicy ginger, and apple pie.
