Glen Scotia 21 Year Old 2023

A smooth and aromatic single malt from the premier Campbeltown distillery, Glen Scotia, this expression was matured for 21 years in a combination of refill bourbon barrels and refill America oak hogsheads, before being married for a six month finish in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. This marvellous release comes bottled in a premium bottle with royal hues of purple and gold. Bottled at 46% abv, free from chill-filtration and at natural colour.

On the nose, we encounter notes of spiced apple, perfumed sherry and cracked black pepper. This leads to sweet notes of baked apple, raisins, mixed spice, vanilla, caramel and a hint of sea spray, with a long and balanced finish lingering with sea salt and sherry tannins.
