Kilchoman Cognac Cask Matured 2023

Released as a part of Kilchoman’s 2023 Limited Editions, this one-of-a-kind Islay expression has been matured entirely in Cognac casks sourced from Tonellerie Bossuet in France, for six years. One of only 15,100 bottles, free from chill filtration and at natural colour. Presented at 50% abv.

The nose opens with notes of apple and pear, followed by sweet honey, warming spice and a delicate touch of peat. The palate shows its Cognac influence with flavours of lemon peel, apricot, cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak. The peaty, maritime core of Kilchoman shines through well into the finish, along with touches of dried fruit, marzipan, and citrus.
