Kingsbarns 5 Year Old Single Cask Ex-Bourbon Barrel

Crafted as a celebration of natural oak cask maturation, this single cask release from Kingsbarns has been aged for five years in a bourbon barrel (no. 1610944). The stunning Lowland expression was decanted into only 242 bottles, and presented at a robust 60.5% abv. Free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

The nose is full of nutty aromas – marzipan and sweet almonds along with vanilla and a touch of elderflower. On the palate, we find delectable flavours of sweet stewed pears, pineapple syrup and sweet vanilla icing, leading to a medium length finish of oak spice and more pear.
