Loch Lomond 2013 9 Year Old

This extra special Loch Lomond Exclusive Cask was aged for seven years in a refill bourbon barrel, then re-casked for two years in a second fill Oloroso hogshead, as chosen by our W Club Cask Committee back in November 2022. It was picked from a selection of expressions aged in barrels crafted and maintained at the distillery’s on-site cooperage. Bottled at 55.9% abv, there are only 291 bottles to go around!

From Charlie Maclean’s notes: ‘a mellow nose feel, with fruity top notes, led by ripe pear and baked apple, backed bu fruit salad with cherry and banana developing notes of caramel and almond. The taste is sweet and toffee-like, finishing spicy and warming, with a light, mouth-cooling effect.
