Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition 2023

Crafted to celebrate the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool in England, this delightful expression from Loch Lomond uses a combination of whisky distilled using Straight Neck pot stills and traditional Swan Neck stills. The spirit was then matured in American oak casks, with a finish in Rioja Alta Reserva casks. These rich, exceptional red wine casks have imparted red berry and dark chocolate flavours which pair beautifully with the Loch Lomond house style. Presented at 46% abv, and free from chill filtration.

Expect fruity and floral notes on the nose, with rose, peach and pear aromas. The palate boasts flavours of red berry, orchard fruits, creamy vanilla and dark chocolate, leading to a fruity finish with a wisp of smoke.
