Oban Distillers Edition 2021

This Distillers Edition expression from Oban Distillery has underwent a double maturation in ex-bodega Montilla Fino casks. The founders of Oban distillery were entrepreneurs who imported and exported goods for which they could sense a demand. We can then assume that they would have approved of the Spanish influence brought to bear in this choice of cask. This is a deep, dramatic dram that is full to the brim with maritime flavours.

Intricate aromas of sea air and sweet grapes and citrus meet the nose. The palate is full of seaside saltiness combined with light malty notes. The finish is sweet, oaky, and malty – a gentle finish to this impactful expression.
