From the award-winning Danish distillery, Stauning, this fantastic rye whisky was made with the flavours of Danish rye bread in mind. The combination of malted rye and barley, open-fired pot still distillation, and maturation for three to four years in new American oak barrels, make this a smooth, fruity and full-bodied expression. Bottled at 48% abv.
Warm rye bread, wine gums, peat and a hint of cracked black pepper on the nose, with a palate of dried fruits, ripe cherry and peppery oak, balanced by vanilla and citrus peels and a hint of bacon. A long and smooth finish: fruity and sweet.
