The Octave Culdrain 2011 11 Year Old #9634315

This Highland single malt was distilled in 2011 at Ardmore distillery – this is the distillery’s unpeated fare. After eleven years in oak casks, this expression was finished for 5 months in an octave. It was bottled in 2022 by Duncan Taylor as part of The Octave series. This particular expression is exclusive to The Whisky Shop. Only 87 bottles have been filled at a preferred strength of 54.4% abv.

The nose has toasted almonds, fresh fruit cocktail, and apricot. The palate brings ligtly salted mozzarella cheese, cranberry sauce, and hints of fresh tobacco before a finish full of balsamic notes and roasted ham.
